BellRock is an inspiring, practical programme giving filmmakers and screenwriters the opportunity to work with a team of established international mentors to develop original screenplays. The programme offers an intensive series of residencies and mentoring support for six writers and filmmakers per year and is delivered by Hospitalfield in partnership with Olivia Stewart, Three Rivers Film and Creative Scotland.
The aim of BellRock is:
- to find original, diverse, voices and to provide a supportive, challenging but also tranquil working environment to develop original screenplays through working with a team of international industry professionals during a series of residencies, which include one-to-one sessions, group discussions and Master Classes;
- to extend the sense of a support network of fellow participants, previous participants and mentors beyond the period of the residencies;
- to build confidence on an international stage through visiting international professionals and the presentation of projects at the EYE Film Institut to an invited audience of international industry professionals
