STAS Mentoring

Created to connect Mentors and Mentees and to create a framework of best practice mentoring across the Scottish screen sector.

STAS Mentoring

STAS Mentoring was created by the Screen Training Alliance Scotland (STAS) to connect Mentors and Mentees and to create a framework of best practice mentoring across the Scottish screen sector.

They are currently looking for Mentors with at least 5 years current, relevant experience. STAS Mentoring is open to Mentors from both unscripted and scripted genres working in any department.

How does STAS Mentoring work?

  • Mentors will be paired with a Mentee for 6 months and have monthly meetings via zoom and in person if restrictions allow.
  • Mentees will be selected from the alumni of Screen Training Alliance Training Programmes
  • Mentoring training will be given to all prospective Mentors and there will also be ongoing support for both Mentor and Mentee via the Project Manager
  • STAS can offer a small fee per monthly session for Mentors who are freelance or self-employed.

If you have at least 5 years current, relevant experience in the screen sector and would like to be a Mentor, please find more information at stas-mentoring.co.uk.

STAS Mentoring is funded by Screen Scotland.
