The Scottish Government’s £9million Hardship Fund for Creative and Screen Freelancers, delivered by Creative Scotland and Screen Scotland, will re-open for applications at 2pm, Tuesday 2 March 2021.
Designed to support creative freelancers working in the arts, creative and screen sectors who are experiencing financial hardship due to the loss of income as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fund will be open to both new and previous applicants to apply for up to £2,000 through the online application portal, which will be accessible via our funding page.
- The Scottish Government announced these additional £9million of emergency funds for Creative Freelancers on Thursday 11 February 2021.
- A total of £74.9m in emergency COVID-19 funds for creativity and culture are being delivered by Creative Scotland and Screen Scotland in 2020/21, supported by funds from the Scottish Government, The National Lottery and the Freelands Foundation.
- These funds have been put in place to help mitigate the immediate impacts of COVID-19 on the art and creative sector.
