Screen NETS develops and delivers paid, on-the-job training and career support programmes for new and recently entered practitioners to the industry. The Screen NETS ethos is to widen access to the industry for all. The organisation is working with film and high-end TV drama productions in Scotland and now recruiting for Art Department and Props roles.
The team are working with the Amazon Original series, The Rig, which will launch globally on Prime Video. Four trainees will be based at FirstStage Studios in Leith, Edinburgh. This will be for the duration of the series from late March until August 2021. Trainees will then have opportunities for placements on further film and High End TV productions across Scotland for an extra 3-4 months.
Screen NETS are now recruiting for trainee roles in these departments for the main Screen NETS Training programme: Production Accounts; Production Office; Locations; Art Department, and Location Sound. This will be a comprehensive 9-month contract from April 2021, and trainees will have placement opportunities on various film and high-end TV drama productions filming in Scotland.
Screen NETS aim to select individuals who are keen to specialise in the specific departments that the production are recruiting for, and may have some limited entry-level experience or transferrable skills that will meet the criteria for the specific department. You must be based in Scotland to apply.
Applications are strongly encouraged from people who are traditionally under-represented in the industry and may have faced barriers to entry due to their ethnicity, disability, social class, sexual orientation, sex or gender. Screen NETS are also keen to hear from those with transferable skills, rurally excluded, and the first in family to enter the industry.

Block 1: 2 x Art Department positions, 2 x Props positions. Deadline passed on Wednesday 16 December 2020 at 1pm.
Block 2: Production Accounts, Grip, VFX, SFX. Deadline is 1pm on Wednesday 10 March 2021.
Block 3 Screen NETS Main Programme: Production Office, Locations, Production Accounts, Art Department, Props, Location, Sound. Deadline is 1pm on Wednesday 10 March 2021.
