Edinburgh TV Festival 2022: Call out for passes

Screen Scotland is delighted to once again be working in partnership with the Edinburgh TV Festival which will be running from Wednesday 24 - Friday 26 August 2022.

This year the Edinburgh TV Festival returns to an in-person event, continuing to support and connect the television sector. As always, the Festival will deliver sessions, panels and masterclasses along with ConnectED Speed Meetings and networking opportunities that make up an internationally focused programme. The first round of speakers confirmed to take part include Brian Cox, Adjani Salmon, Dolly Alderton, Rose Matafeo, Richard Osman and Alternative MacTaggart speaker Rose Ayling-Ellis, as well as creative chiefs from Amazon, BBC, C4, Disney, ITV, Netflix, Sky, UKTV, and their commissioning teams.

Screen Scotland is offering 10 bursaries to independent production companies in Scotland, which comprises a fully funded delegate pass and 3 nights accommodation (if required, for successful applicants not based in Edinburgh).

The bursary offer will provide:

  • Delegate pass for 24-26 August, providing full access to over 50 Festival sessions in Edinburgh

  • Access to official parties and networking events

  • On-demand access to sessions post-Festival

  • Access to ConnectED speed meetings where you can meet decision makers 1-on-1, and ConnectED+ sessions throughout the year

  • 3 nights’ accommodation in Edinburgh City Centre

Before submitting your application, please note:

  • This offer is open to Scotland-based producers and production companies only

  • There is a limit of one bursary per production company

  • If your company is successful with its application for this bursary, an application from a second producer/executive from your company to attend Edinburgh TV Festival through Screen Scotland’s Market & Festival Attendance Fund will then not be considered a priority

  • Consider what projects you currently have and if they are at an appropriate stage for engaging with TV Festival participants, as well as who you seek to connect with

  • Passes may be particularly relevant for production companies who are currently engaged in development with Screen Scotland through our Broadcast Content Fund.

Key dates

The deadline for applications is 3pm Thursday 7 July 2022.

Successful applicants will be informed on Monday 11 July 2022, with full details of how to register for their free delegate pass and accommodation information.
