Opportunity for local producers to attend ACE Annual Reunion

About ACE Producers

ACE (Ateliers du Cinéma Européen) PRODUCERS is an exclusive network of experienced independent film producers from Europe and beyond. A fundamental aim of ACE Producers is to encourage and enable international co-productions.

Thanks to a new partnership with Screen Scotland, the ACE Annual Reunion will be held in Scotland on 5 – 7 November 2021. It will be the first time that an ACE Workshop or Annual Reunion will be held in the UK since the association’s inception in 1993.

The Annual Reunion brings together producers who have completed the most recent year-long training programme, to meet the established members of the ACE Network. All of ACE’s alumni will be invited to reunite for the long weekend in Scotland to participate in special sessions, exchange news and set-up new collaborations.

What is being offered?

Thanks to Screen Scotland’s partnership with ACE Producers, we are offering a limited number of places for Scotland-based producers to join the Annual Reunion in Edinburgh on Friday 5 November. This will provide an excellent opportunity to meet other European producers, attend a series of talks and panel sessions, and connect with the ACE Network.

A smaller group of producers will also be invited to attend the second day of the Reunion in St Andrews, on Saturday 6 November. The purpose of the event is to support new and growing relationships, and the development of co-productions, between Scotland-based and international producers.

Day 1 - Edinburgh

Events during the day will be held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, comprising case study presentations, interviews with key industry figures, and networking sessions, with lunch included. Participants will finish the evening with drinks and dinner at Edinburgh Castle.

Day 2 – St Andrews

Experienced producers will join the ACE Producers, consultants and UK industry professionals for an additional day of roundtables, industry interviews, networking and social activity. Meals and accommodation where required will be provided.

Please note: If selected to attend St Andrews, Screen Scotland’s Screen Commission team will assist with travel arrangements – your notification email will provide further information on this.

Who can apply?

Scotland-based producers who can demonstrate a commitment to co-production are eligible to apply. Selection to the additional Saturday event will be on the basis of appropriate experience, and priority will be given to those with at least one principal production credit on a feature film, and a viable interest in international collaboration.
