Synopsis
This prequel to the Outlander series focuses on the lives and courtship of the parents of Jamie Fraser: Brian Fraser and Ellen Mackenzie as well as Claire Beauchamp’s parents, Henry Beauchamp and Julia Moriston.
A team of 22 Scotland-based trainees were selected for an intensive skills development training programme on Season 1 of the TV production, providing a training opportunity for new entrants and trainees based in Scotland.
Supported by the National Lottery through Screen Scotland and ScreenSkills, and Sony Pictures Television, the programme fosters practical production skills and provides the professional experience required to enable the next generation of screen talent to enter and progress careers within the industry.
The trainees, some of whom had little or no experience in the industry, were selected from over 1,200 applicants for roles across camera, costume, design, assistant director, art department, effects and production.
The Outlander Training Programme has now trained a total of 179 individuals to date across the last seven seasons of Outlander and this first season of Blood of My Blood.
